Dr. Vanessa de Veritch Woodside (she/ella/her) is the Associate Dean of Equity and Inclusion and an Associate Professor of Spanish Language and Cultures in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington Tacoma, where she teaches courses in Spanish and Latin American and Latinx Studies. She serves as Chair of UWT Undocu Initiatives and is a member of various campus advisory groups. She focuses on the subversive power of voice and storytelling in Latinx and borderlands literature in her research and is engaged in various community-engaged projects with local immigrant and refugee communities.
