Susana Mares

She/Her/Ella Undocumented Program Manager, Chicago Public Schools

Susana has been in this role since 2021. Susana is an English Language Learner and Chicago Public Schools alumna. She is a first generation college graduate. Double graduate from Northeastern Illinois University with a B.A. in English and Masters in Higher Education Leadership. Prior to joining CPS District, Susana served many under served families through the Chicago GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs). Growing up with a mixed status family, Susana hopes to continue to support undocumented youth and provide the guidance her family lacked several years ago.
