Sandy López

She/Her/Ella Director of the Undocumented Student Resource Center, Northern Illinois University

Dra. Sandy López has over 30 years of experience at Northern Illinois University (NIU). In 2018, Sandy joined the Office of Academic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ADEI) and is currently the Director of the Undocumented Student Resource Center. Sandy is an unapologetic educator activist heavily involved on and off campus. She is also a board member of the Illinois Latino Council on Higher Education (ILACHE) and co-president of the NIU Latinx Alumni Council. Sandy aims to promote a welcoming environment for all students and families who visit or attend NIU while providing them with support and resources available both on and off campus.
