Miguel Pimentel

Miguel Pimentel was born in Puruaran, Michoacán, Mexico and immigrated to the United States at the age of 11. As an undocumented student, he was able to navigate the system in which he became the first in his family to attend and graduate from college. He graduated from CSUEB in 2012 with a double BA in Ethnic Studies and Spanish. In 2012, he became a DACA recipient and began to work in Education. In 2019, he earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from SJSU with the credentials: PPS, CWA, and APCC. Miguel’s professional career is influenced by his own lived experiences as an undocumented/ AB 540 student and currently as a DACA recipient.
