This report presents results from the UnDACAmented Research Project, which examines how young people have experienced their Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status from 2013-2019. DACA provides temporary relief from deportation and work authorization, allowing beneficiaries for social mobility such as access to higher education and professional employment. This report summarizes the experiences of DACA beneficiaries with multiple renewals who continue to face uncertainty about their futures in the United States. The report highlights the experience of DACA beneficiaries based on state and local policies in addition to barriers to social and economic mobility. The study affirms the positive outcomes of the DACA program and makes recommendations to improve limitations.
