TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHAT YOU DO.

“I am an Electrical Engineering graduate from CCNY and the first in my family to have received a bachelor’s degree. Previously, I was an Electrical Engineer Aide at the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, where I worked on contract drawings, project specifications, control strategies, and field inspections. I am now an Electrical Engineer with Robert Derector Associates in NY.

TELL US WHY YOUR WORK MATTERS…

“My work at the Department of Environmental Protection promoted the idea that clean water along with wastewater treatment of sewage should be a right that everyone in the world should have.”

WHAT UNIQUE PERSPECTIVES DO DREAMERS BRING TO THEIR WORK?

“As an immigrant, I know how fortunate we are to have access to clean potable water. I constantly reminded my co-workers about how essential our work was to the millions of residents we serve. They may take clean water as a given, but it is important to always be grateful for what we have.”
